At G.J. Gardner Homes ("we", "us", "the Franchisor"), we manage our employer branding and recruitment process through our career site (the “Career Site”) powered by Teamtailor. This policy outlines how Netdeen Pty Ltd (ACN 071 116 802) and its associated entities collect, use, and manage your Personal Information during the recruitment process in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
2. Our Franchise Network and Your Application
G.J. Gardner Homes operates as a network of independently owned and operated franchises. To maximize the recruitment opportunities available to you, we manage data as follows:
- Direct Applications: When you apply for a role with a specific Franchisee, your data is collected by the Franchisor and shared with that Franchisee to facilitate their hiring process.
- Network Matching: In addition to your specific application, we may share your profile with other G.J. Gardner Franchisees who have relevant current vacancies or upcoming opportunities. This allows your application to be considered across our broader network without requiring separate submissions.
- Independent Data Controllers: Both the Franchisor and the relevant Franchisee(s) act as Data Controllers. While we maintain network-wide privacy standards, each Franchisee is an independent legal entity responsible for managing the data they receive in compliance with Australian privacy laws.
3. What Personal Data Do We Collect?
- Candidates: Name, contact details (email, phone, address), CV/Resume, cover letters, interview notes, assessment results, salary expectations, and references.
- Sourced/Referred Candidates: Information from public professional profiles (e.g., LinkedIn) or information provided by a G.J. Gardner employee who refers you.
- Visitors: Technical and statistical data, including IP addresses and cookie-based information, to help us improve the Career Site experience.
4. Purposes of Processing
We process your information to:
1. Evaluate your suitability for current vacancies.
2. Communicate with you regarding your application.
3. Share your profile with relevant G.J. Gardner Franchisees to maximize your employment opportunities within our network.
4. Maintain the security and performance of our recruitment platform.
5. Defend against legal claims or comply with regulatory requirements.
5. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data based on the consent provided at the time of application. By submitting your application, you agree to:

6. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in:
- Australia: Our primary headquarters and hosting.
- New Zealand / USA: Where our group companies or service providers (including Teamtailor) may operate.
We ensure these transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or similar safeguards to ensure your data remains protected.
7. Data Retention
- Unsuccessful Candidates: We typically retain your data for 12 months to consider you for future roles within our network. After this period, your data will be deleted or de-identified unless you have opted into a longer-term talent pool.
- Successful Candidates: Your data will be transferred to your Employee Record and kept for 7 years as required by the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth).
8. Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of your personal information at any time. You may also "Disconnect" from us via the Career Site to revoke our access to your profile.
